Home Social Value
At Morgan Lovell, social value is embedded in our culture. Our mission is to make a positive and lasting impact on existing, new and evolving communities, seeing every project as an opportunity to make a real difference.
We're proud to support local communities through meaningful partnerships. We prioritise local SMEs in our supply chain and provide training for young people and disadvantaged groups, including NEETs and ex offenders. Supporting 16 to 24 year olds through the Kickstart Scheme and actively collaborating with local charities and social enterprises ensure that our projects leave a lasting social impact.
Our Gold accreditation under the Armed Forces Covenant recognises our commitment to supporting veterans and their families. As a member of the Disability Confident Scheme, we're also committed to creating accessible, inclusive workplaces and supporting diverse talent.

On all our projects we pledge to do 'One Good Thing'. This initiative ensures that each project delivers at least one positive contribution to the local community, whether it's volunteering, school engagement or an in kind donation to a local charity or organisation that means something to you. We're a huge believer that one good thing can make a real difference.
We take a flexible approach to social value, with dedicated social value managers across our divisions. We support clients to meet their goals through research and in house measurement, or by working within existing frameworks like Section 106. We recognise that local needs vary, so we tailor our efforts accordingly.
We believe in the power of small actions to create big change. That's why we encourage our employees to work with grassroots communities or lend a helping hand through volunteering, mentoring or supporting local causes.
We take pride in providing local people in the communities surrounding our project the opportunity to explore roles within the construction industry. We offer apprenticeships, internships and work experience to enhance local skills, help address an industry wide labour supply issue and inspire the next generation of industry professionals.
Where possible, we appoint local trades and service providers on our projects. We also work hard to increase social value awareness within our supply chain, encouraging our partners to understand and contribute to the positive impact we aim to deliver. We host events such as 'Meet the Buyer' sessions, supply chain breakfasts and lunch and learn workshops.
Our team joined forces with our supply chain for a day of volunteering at a community garden run by charity Core Landscapes.
We came together with our supply chain for a day of friendly competition and raised over £5,000 for Sport in Mind. Watch the highlights here.
In collaboration with Overbury, we welcomed students into the world of construction with an exciting challenge – creating a mock bid for the Subway office project.
In collaboration with Riverlabs, we transformed a pop up café in Ware for Always Bee You, a charity that supports adults with learning and mental health issues.
As they approach their 50th anniversary, we helped Avenues rebrand their centre by decorating communal spaces and installing vinyl prints that embody their core values.
Alongside our sister company, Overbury, we delivered a three part construction project with 30 year 9 students to inspire some budding industry professionals.
Students from Chauncy School joined us for work experience, including a talk from David Downing, BakerHicks, a site tour and a challenge to create and present their own office design concepts.
We’re proud sponsors of Bristol Bears Community Foundation’s corporate tag rugby tournament, raising money to support their community programmes – find out more.
